Zion's Hope Winter Garden, FL Job Details Full-time 10 hours ago Benefits Health savings account Health insurance Paid time off Qualifications Finance Finance Accounting Non-profit accounting Accounting Full Job Description Ministry Description Zion's Hope is a Bible-based ministry whose purpose is to proclaim to Jewish and Gentile people throughout the world their need for personal salvation through Jesus, the Messiah of Israel. The ministry is also committed to helping Christians grow in their understanding of biblical prophecy and the importance of Israel in God's plan for the Last Days. Job Description The Director of Finance will oversee all aspects of Accounting and Finance for the Ministry as he or she collaborates closely with the President and Director of Operations. This Director will work with all department heads and employees to ensure a fiscally responsible approach to all areas of finance. In addition, the Director of Finance will seek to advance donor engagement with the ministry. Job Responsibilities The employee will be expected to: Promote the mission and message of Zion's Hope. Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments. Supervise accounting staff and oversee the finances in all areas of the ministry. Work in cooperation with Zion's Hope external auditors and follow generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for nonprofit organizations. Review and manage the preparation of all monthly and annual reports, including financial statements, payroll returns, and other financial documents, as necessary. Oversee compliance in all areas of Employee benefits, including Health insurance, retirement benefits, and payroll regulations. To seek and discover any fundraising opportunities that are in line with Zion's Hope Ministry objectives and values. To research and pursue financing solutions that meet ministry goals. Assist with other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications Applicants should:
Have a personal, ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ. Agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith. Regularly attend a local, Bible-believing church Love God and have a passion for His Word Love people and desire to share the vital truths of Scripture. Have a Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting (Preferably a CPA or equivalent) Seven plus years in a management position operating in a similar capacity. Nonprofit accounting background and knowledge of the particulars of religious organizations. Zion's Hope is a multi-faceted ministry that includes a variety of endeavors. We produce publications, videos and audio productions, host events and international travel, and support overseas missions. Therefore, experience in any of the aforementioned areas is a plus.
