We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee accounting operations in a multi-project construction environment. The ideal candidate will have strong job cost accounting and WIP reporting experience, along with the ability to partner closely with project teams and senior leadership. Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger
- Manage job cost accounting and project-based financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze WIP reports and project financial statements
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain strong internal controls
- Prepare and review financial statements and accounting reports
- Monitor project financial performance, costs, and profitability
- Partner with project managers and leadership to provide financial insights
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in construction accounting
- Strong job cost accounting, WIP reporting, and project-based financial analysis experience
- Experience managing AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger in a multi-project environment
- Proficiency with construction-focused accounting software and ERP systems
- Strong Excel skills
- Solid knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation
- Experience leading and mentoring accounting staff
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus
