Buford, Georgia Employment Type:
Full-time (40 hours/week, flexible for peak seasons) We are seeking an "Experienced Company Controller " to lead financial operations for Perimeter Garage Door Repair LLC, Aaron Overhead Doors, and Markiunity. The ideal candidate thrives in a role demanding unwavering reliability, meticulous attention to detail, and an upbeat, positive demeanor to energize the team. You will manage a small team across these growing service companies (garage door installation/repair and related operations), ensure fiscal compliance in Georgia and multi-state activities (including interstate sales), deliver precise reporting, and drive strategic growth. Key Responsibilities Oversee bank reconciliations, monthly/quarterly financial statements, and QuickBooks (or similar) reconciliations. Calculate and file sales taxes (e.g., Georgia GAVT), estate/property sales taxes if applicable, and IRS/federal obligations. Manage payroll via ADP, including 1099/W-2 classifications, deductions, and YTD reporting. Process invoices, vendor payments, client collections (House Call Pro/FieldPulse), and daily income tracking. Conduct internal/external audits, prepare for CPA reviews, and maintain audit-ready records. Develop annual budgets and profitability analysis by job/project (e.g., material/labor costs for installations).Implement financial strategies:
cash flow forecasting, cost controls for expansion (e.g., new GA locations), and margin optimization. Set up efficient structures for reconciliations and financial tasks, performing them as often as needed with general reconciliation knowledge. Ensure precision in complex calculations like sales commissions, workers' comp insurance, and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance. Requirements Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related; CPA or CMA preferred. Minimum 3 years as Controller (5+ preferred) in service industries like construction, real estate, or field services. Proficiency in QuickBooks, ADP, and advanced Excel. Deep knowledge of Georgia taxes (sales/use, property) and federal regulations; multi-state experience a plus. Strong analytical skills for strategic forecasting and high-volume accuracy (e.g., 100+ invoices/month).
