We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance to lead financial planning, reporting, and operational oversight for the organization in the Ames area. This role will guide budgeting activities, strengthen forecasting accuracy, and provide leadership with clear insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, strong technical finance expertise, and the ability to improve processes while maintaining financial integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and management of the annual budgeting cycle, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial targets.
• Oversee month-end close activities to deliver timely, accurate financial results and maintain strong accounting controls.
• Prepare and present financial reports that offer meaningful analysis for executives and key stakeholders.
• Build and maintain cash flow projections to support liquidity planning and short- and long-term decision-making.
• Direct ongoing budget monitoring efforts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions when needed.
• Partner with senior leadership to evaluate financial performance and support strategic planning initiatives.
• Establish and refine finance processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across the function.
