Plant Conroller

Description We are looking for a highly skilled Plant Controller to oversee financial operations in our manufacturing facility based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role will require strong leadership in managing accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy, and providing critical insights to drive decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cost accounting and financial planning within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all accounting and finance operations, including the monthly close process and daily departmental activities.
• Ensure financial statements and key metrics are accurate and promptly reported to the parent company.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide actionable feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
• Develop and manage the annual business plan along with periodic financial forecasts.
• Oversee sales and profitability reporting, including pricing strategies, margin analyses, and management of rebates and sales commissions.
• Optimize cash flow through effective management of treasury activities.
• Coordinate annual audits, handle legal matters, and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
• Provide analytical support for capital expenditure decisions.
• Strengthen internal controls and implement enhancements as needed.
• Collaborate with plant and departmental leaders to support strategic business decisions. Requirements
• Expertise in manufacturing cost accounting and standard cost accounting.
• Solid experience with month-end close processes and preparing monthly financial statements.
• Strong skills in budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Proven ability to analyze and report on profitability and operational metrics.
• Familiarity with treasury management and optimizing cash flow.
• Experience in managing audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in providing financial insights to support capital expenditure decisions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills to collaborate across departments.
