This is a permanent, on-site executive position focused on maintaining financial integrity while shaping the organization's monetary future.

Primary Focus Areas Financial Stewardship :

Direct all accounting functions and financial reporting systems, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial documents and analyses.

Strategic Planning :

Lead the development of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial strategies to support organizational growth and stability.

Compliance Management :

Ensure adherence to all applicable financial regulations and industry standards specific to financial institutions, implementing robust control systems to mitigate risk.

Team Leadership :

Guide and develop the accounting staff, fostering professional growth and maintaining high standards of performance and accuracy.

Stakeholder Relations :

Serve as the primary financial liaison to executive leadership, board members, and external audit partners, providing clear insights and recommendations. Requirements Professional Background Bachelor Degree in accounting, finance or other related discipline Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, general ledger oversight, and account reconciliation Proven ability to develop comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and financial models Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks governing financial institutions Experience leading and developing accounting teams Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet applications and financial software systems Ideal Candidate Profile Professional certification (CPA or CMA) strongly valued Academic background in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline Previous experience within the credit union or banking sector is particularly advantageous
