Summary:
Plant Controllers are responsible for interpreting financial data to craft a clear, actionable narrative that accurately reflects plant performance. They serve as key partners to plant leadership, providing financial insights and strategic support to drive operational and financial objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with plant leadership to support operational performance and strategic decision-making Support budgeting, forecasting, and capacity planning activities in coordination with cross-functional teams Manage plant-level financial reporting, including variance analysis and performance tracking Lead financial analyses for make vs. buy decisions and other strategic cost initiatives Support cost reduction initiatives through financial modeling, validation, and reporting of projected vs. actual savings Interpret and communicate financial results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and present findings to senior management Other duties may be assigned
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and develop insightful recommendations Ability to quickly grasp company operations and business drivers Ability to identify technical accounting, process related and systems related issues, and provide direct and strategic focus in addressing such issues Ability to work in dynamic, fast paced, fast growing company where adaptability is imperative Ability to interact with supervisors or managers across functions Excellent interpersonal skills, willingness to appropriately debate difficult issues, ability to think quickly and present to any audience Self-motivated, innovative and the ability to initiate and lead change Highest professional standards and personal and professional integrity Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills and direct experience with enterprise software applications Strong verbal and written communication skills
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance required, CPA strongly preferred 5+ years of accounting experience
Leadership Responsibilities:
Align financial strategies with operational goals to drive profitability Advise plant leadership on financial risks, opportunities, and performance trends Translate financial results into business insights that support decision-making
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility Required to read documents and computer screens
Work Environment:
Usual office working conditions Occasional exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors
