Under the direction of the, VP of Finance, this individual will assist in preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, adequate internal controls and procedures for the department, and developing and maintaining operational relationships with agency departments.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Chief Financial Officer in developing administrative operational procedures for monitoring budgetary performance and assisting agency departments Supervise and direct work of staff employees in daily operation of accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger areas Assist the CFO in reviewing and maintaining the accounting systems in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles Provide recommendations to management staff on accounting matters and on the use of internal accounting reports Assist in developing the overall internal control environment of the agency Maintain general ledger reconciliation process, establish procedures and perform periodic testing. Assist CFO in daily cash management function of the agencyQUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a B. S. in Accounting or equivalent relevant training. Must have at least ten (10) years of broad experience in management and financial accounting systems. Three (3) years of supervising, several or multiple accounting functions and/or administrative operations in financial settings. CPA preferred Must have detailed knowledge of not-for-profit fund accounting, automated on line computer systems and personal computer based applications. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be a team player.Benefits
