Req # 27918 General Summary / Basic Purpose of Job The Vice President of Finance will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership and direction to Sinai Health System. The Vice President of Finance will oversee financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, revenue cycle management, financial reporting, and financial analysis. As a key member of the senior management team, the Vice President of Finance will play a critical role in developing and executing the organization's financial strategy, supporting operational performance, and ensuring financial sustainability.

Finance and financial operations staff, as assigned. Level of Care Delivered The position supports financial operations across the healthcare system and its applicable levels of patient care and clinical services. Job Requirements Minimum Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum Work Experience Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management.
At least 5 years of experience in a healthcare financial environment.
Demonstrated experience in financial leadership, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Knowledge & Skills The successful candidate should demonstrate: Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to develop and implement innovative financial and operational solutions.
Extensive knowledge of healthcare finance, reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
Experience with financial systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, financial planning and analysis (FP&A) tools, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ability to translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple initiatives, and perform effectively in a fast-paced and complex healthcare environment.
Strong strategic-thinking and decision-making capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership, clinical leadership, and operational stakeholders. Key Areas of Responsibility Provide strategic financial leadership in partnership with the CFO. Oversee accounting and financial operations.
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
Monitor financial performance and provide analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
Oversee financial reporting and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
Support long-term financial planning and organizational strategy.
Monitor financial trends, risks, and opportunities.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members.
Support system-wide operational and strategic initiatives through financial analysis and business insights.
Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare financial, accounting, and regulatory requirements. Required Licenses, Certifications & Registrations Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
