About the Position The Controller / Director of Finance will lead financial operations and serve as a core financial advisor to executive leadership for a growing $15M multi-entity enterprise . This role manages day-to-day accounting functions and a team of 3-4 accounting professionals , while actively shaping long-term financial strategy, capital allocation, cash forecasting, and operational profitability.

Core Responsibilities Strategic & Financial Leadership:

Participate in executive management meetings, evaluate capital allocation initiatives, model ROI for capital investments, and deliver forward-looking financial projections.

Financial Management & Close:

Direct all month-end and year-end closing processes, maintaining strict GAAP compliance across multi-entity operations.

System & Process Management:

Oversee and optimize accounting workflows within NetSuite and QuickBooks environments.

Team Supervision:

Lead, mentor, and elevate 3-4 accounting professionals overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billing functions.

Tax & Compliance Oversight:

Manage state and federal compliance, multi-jurisdiction sales/use tax returns, and serve as the main point of contact for external CPA and audit teams.

Treasury & Reporting:

Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, analyze variance reports, and maintain dynamic multi-week cash flow models.

Qualifications Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required; CPA or Master of Accountancy preferred.

Experience:

5-8+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in NetSuite and QuickBooks required; advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, data evaluation).

Leadership Capabilities:

Proven success leading direct reports, presenting to executive teams, and bridging operational accounting with business strategy.

Pay:

$110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
