We are entrepreneurial, fast-moving, and deeply committed to the people who work here and the communities we serve. We are looking for a Vice President of Information Technology to own technology across the portfolio. Role This is a true player-coach role. You'll lead a tight-knit team covering IT operations, support and infrastructure, and software development, and you'll be close enough to the work to shape it directly. There're no red tape and no layers of management standing between you and getting things done. Some weeks you'll be almost entirely strategic: planning, budgeting, advising business leaders. Other weeks you'll be hands-on, working through a firewall config or a tricky backup issue yourself. Both are part of what makes this role exciting. If you want a seat at the leadership table and the satisfaction of staying close to the work, this is the role for you. This is also a rare chance to build from the ground up. Each of our companies has grown its own way, which means there's a wide-open opportunity to bring technology together under one clear strategy. Standardizing the environment and building lasting process isn't a side project here. It's the main event, and you'll get to see your fingerprints on it across the entire portfolio. What You'll Own Enterprise Technology Strategy Set and execute a technology strategy that serves all Surack Enterprises companies. Serve as the technology advisor to ownership and senior leadership — in plain English. Find and act on the places where technology meaningfully improves operations, customer experience, and profitability. IT Infrastructure & Operations Own networking, servers, cloud, Microsoft 365 and Azure, telecom and connectivity, backup and disaster recovery, hardware lifecycle, and technology standards and policy. Move the team from firefighting to proactive: documentation, monitoring, ticket discipline, and repeatable playbooks. Cybersecurity & Risk Own the security posture across every company — policy, governance, compliance, and risk. Protect company systems, customer information, and intellectual property. Make sure backups actually restore and the business can keep running when something breaks. Custom Software Mentor a solo developer — be the person they can think out loud with on architecture, code review, and career growth.
