LaPorte, IN (100% Onsite)
Salary:
$105,000–$135,000 (Based on Experience) Lead the Accounting Function for a Growing Organization Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the accounting function and provide strategic financial leadership. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys partnering with leadership, improving processes, and driving financial performance. Key Responsibilities Lead the month-end close process, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis. Manage the accounting team, including AP, AR, payroll, and daily accounting operations. Ensure compliance with GAAP, maintain strong internal controls, and coordinate annual audits. Partner with leadership to improve processes and support strategic business decisions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CMA preferred. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities. Experience leading month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management. Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls. Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems. Manufacturing, distribution, or multi-entity accounting experience is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of the organization.
