This role oversees core accounting activities, strengthens reporting accuracy, and provides leadership on cash flow, close processes, and cost analysis. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manufacturing finance and can translate financial data into practical guidance for business decisions.
Responsibilities:
Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycle to ensure timely and accurate financial results. Oversee day-to-day cash activity, monitor liquidity, and support effective short- and long-term cash planning. Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and related analyses for leadership review. Manage manufacturing cost accounting activities, including product costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis. Partner with operational leaders to evaluate production performance and identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency. Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures that support compliance and reliable financial reporting. Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts by developing financial models and tracking performance against plans. Supervise and develop accounting staff while promoting consistency, accuracy, and accountability across the function. At least 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibility. Demonstrated expertise in month-end close and preparation of accurate financial reporting. Strong background in cash management and analysis of working capital needs. Hands-on experience with manufacturing cost accounting in a production environment. Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and the financial drivers that affect profitability. Ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate recommendations clearly to stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
