Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and drive fiscal excellence across the organization. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to shape financial strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and support sustainable growth. As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee financial planning, reporting, risk management, and team management to foster a robust financial environment aligned with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring extensive accounting expertise, industry knowledge of financial regulations, and a passion for strategic financial management. Duties Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive financial strategies that support organizational growth and sustainability. Oversee all aspects of accounting functions including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, and balance sheet reconciliation. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and relevant industry regulations. Manage financial reporting processes, including the preparation of financial statements, regulatory reports, and internal management reports with clarity and accuracy. Develop and maintain financial projection models to forecast future performance, analyze profit & loss statements, and support strategic decision-making. Oversee treasury management activities such as cash flow analysis, investment management, and risk mitigation strategies. Supervise the finance team by providing leadership, mentorship, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in financial operations. Collaborate with business development teams to evaluate new initiatives, funding opportunities, and revenue streams while ensuring cost control measures are in place. Conduct risk analysis to identify potential financial vulnerabilities and implement effective risk management practices. Ensure adherence to industry standards for governmental accounting, non-profit accounting (if applicable), and compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
