• $140,000 Position Overview We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting functions for a growing organization in Louisville.

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and providing key financial insights that support executive decision-making. The ideal candidate is both analytical and operational, capable of managing the full accounting cycle while helping leadership understand financial performance, improve processes, and drive business growth. This position plays a critical role in maintaining strong internal controls, managing the financial close process, and supporting long-term financial planning. Key Responsibilities

• O versee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, performance reports, and management summaries
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Monitor cash flow, financial performance, and operational costs
• Coordinate year-end audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and financial regulations
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff while improving financial processes and efficiency Qualifications
• B achelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA preferred
• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience managing the full accounting cycle and financial close process
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Preferred Experience
• E xperience in manufacturing, recycling, logistics, or other industrial environments
• Experience supporting multi-location operations
