Job Description:
Position Summary:
Seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, serve as a technical accounting leader, manage accounting staff, and support organizational growth. This role owns the close process, audit management, technical accounting, ERP initiatives, and process improvement efforts.
Responsibilities:
  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee fixed assets, AP, and AR governance.
  • Lead annual GAAP audits and maintain audit readiness.
  • Develop accounting policies, controls, and documentation.
  • Own ASC 606 revenue recognition and contract accounting compliance.
  • Oversee inventory and cost accounting, including production costing and WIP.
  • Support ERP implementation and accounting process automation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CMA designation obtained.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong revenue recognition and manufacturing cost accounting experience.
  • Experience leading GAAP audits.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP system experience.
  • Eligible to obtain a U.
S. government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of accounting experience.
  • Experience in venture-backed, PE-backed, aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environments.
  • Public accounting background preferred.
  • Knowledge of
FAR, CAS, DCAA, ASC
718, and ASC 842.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Deltek Costpoint, or data automation tools.
