Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required Our client in the Lenox, MA area is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the company's financial operations and Finance Department. This position will oversee accounting activities, financial analysis and reporting in accordance with IFRS, budgeting, audits, cash management, AP/AR, payroll oversight, and financial compliance while providing accurate financial information to support strategic and operational decision-making. Responsibilities of the Controller will include: Manage financial operations and the financial reporting relationship with the parent company. Prepare monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements . Prepare monthly financial metric reports and analyze operating performance against budget and prior periods. Manage the annual budgeting process . Coordinate and manage the annual financial audit , annual 401(k) plan audit, and annual tax return preparation and filing . Oversee accounts receivable collections and accounts payable to support timely collections and payments. Review bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and expense accounts and ensure accurate reconciliations according to the monthly closing schedule. Oversee and review biweekly payroll processing through an outside service. Manage cash activity , required management reporting, and banking relationships, including compliance reporting . Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings. Oversee the operations and staff of the Finance Department , providing leadership in daily financial activities and compliance practices. Support SAP implementation activities. Conduct financial operations in accordance with applicable state, FDA, OSHA, and cGMP requirements. Qualifications for the role of

Controller:

5-10+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience required. Solid manufacturing industry experience required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. MBA and/or CPA preferred. Experience overseeing financial operations and Finance Department staff. Understanding of FDA cGMP regulations . Strong financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and accounting skills. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel required. Excellent computer skills. Experience with SAP preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure company standards are met.
