Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to lead financial oversight for a manufacturing operation in Methuen, Massachusetts. This role will guide accounting activities, strengthen reporting accuracy, and deliver timely analysis that supports operational and business decisions. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in plant finance, cost accounting, and cross-functional partnership within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and management reports for the plant.
  • Lead planning cycles by contributing to budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis that help leadership track performance.
  • Manage core accounting activities, including journal postings, account reconciliations, payables, receivables, and review of transaction integrity.
  • Establish and monitor financial controls to safeguard assets, support compliance standards, and maintain reliable accounting practices.
  • Coordinate audit support by organizing documentation, responding to requests, and assisting with external review activities.
  • Work closely with plant operations and site leadership to translate financial results into actionable recommendations for performance improvement.
  • Prepare customized analyses, management reports, and special project deliverables as business needs evolve.
  • Oversee inventory and standard cost processes to improve cost visibility and maintain accurate manufacturing financial data.
