General Description:
Manages Medicaid applications and processes annual eligibility reviews. Resident Census, admission, discharge and transfer activities. Track and view Resident admission Financial Folders. Prepares Statements for Private and Patient Paid Amounts, also including billing, collecting, follow-up. Processes consolidated billing claims. Prepare deposits and scans deposits to the bank. Handles Resident and family inquiries as needed. Assist and cover receptionist as needed. Answering a mutli-line phone system and greeting visitors. Familiar with Personal Needs Accounts. Assist the Business Office Manager with any projects, Audits, month end close as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of billing and collections in a long term care setting. Must have thorough knowledge of Massachusetts Medicaid, Medicaid pending and Patient Paid Amounts. Must be proficient in application process for new Massachusetts Medicaid approvals. Must have the ability to handle multiple priorities, possess strong communication skills in a fast paced environment. Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook. Point Click Care and RFMS knowledge preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
