We are a private (independent) practice affiliated with Mass General Brigham with a focus on individualized evidence-based care for the whole family. We also highly value teamwork and collaboration and have built a team culture of safety, competence and fun. We currently have 22 primary care providers on our team and have a strong growth trajectory into new business and practice initiatives. We are looking for a Director of Finance and Strategic Operations who is entrepreneurial, has strong financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting skills and is looking for a challenging and gratifying high growth opportunity. Position Summary The Director of Finance and Strategic Operations is a senior executive responsible for advancing the organization's financial performance, revenue cycle optimization, business intelligence, and strategic growth initiatives. The Director partners closely with the physician owners and executive leadership team to improve organizational performance through financial analysis, operational improvement, revenue optimization, and execution of strategic priorities. Essential Functions Financial Leadership o Own overall revenue cycle performance.  Manage outsourced billing vendor and establish clear performance expectations.  Analyze payer trends, denials, provider coding patterns, and reimbursement opportunities.  Develop monthly revenue cycle dashboards.  Recommend operational improvements to maximize collections.  Collaborate with providers to improve documentation and coding.  Establish measurable revenue cycle KPIs and drive continuous improvement. o Oversee provider dashboards and reporting and coordinates with director of provider operations to maximize provider revenue o Develop budgets and forecasts in collaboration with executive leadership and meet monthly with executive leadership to review KPMs. o Prepare and analyze financial reports and organizational performance metrics. o Coordinate audits, insurance renewals, and financial compliance activities. o Manage corporate expenses in accordance with budgets. Business Insights and Intelligence o Design executive dashboards. o Develop provider productivity reporting. o Analyze service-line profitability. o Monitor organizational KPIs. o Present financial and operational trends to physician leadership. o Translate data into actionable recommendations. Strategic Business Leadership o Develop financial models for new service lines (behavioral health, laboratory, aesthetics, IV therapy). o Evaluate return on investment for strategic initiatives. o Lead business planning and organizational growth projects. o Identify operational efficiencies that improve financial performance. o Support physician recruitment with financial analyses. o Develop executive dashboards and business intelligence tools. o Lead special projects assigned by the physician owners. Director of Healthcare Operations Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in finance or as a business analyst, preferably in the healthcare field in the outpatient or hospital setting
Preferred:
Master's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or related field. Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, CPA, or equivalent. Healthcare industry experience preferred.
Pay:
$140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
