We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our accounting operations and serve as a key strategic partner to our Chief Financial Officer. What You'll Do As our Financial Controller, you will: Lead and develop the Accounting Department Oversee all accounting operations, including: General Ledger Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Payroll Cash Management Bank Reconciliations Month-end and year-end close Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports Partner with department leaders to monitor budgets and recommend cost-control strategies Manage the organization's annual audit process Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax reporting requirements Maintain strong internal controls and sound accounting practices Oversee the organization's ERP system and accounting processes Review insurance coverage and help mitigate organizational risk Support financial oversight of federal contracts and grants Perform and oversee 401(k) audit activities and Form 5500 filing Identify financial trends and provide recommendations to the CFO Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting function What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Current CPA license (Required) 10+ years of progressive accounting experience 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, auditing, and internal controls Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong communication and leadership skills Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record Preferred Experience Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar ERP systems Experience in nonprofit accounting, government contracts, grants, or multi-location organizations Experience leading process improvement and system implementations Why Join Goodwill?
