Interim Controller Location:
Grand Rapids, MI Compensation:
$100,000–$120,000/year
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday–Friday Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to provide hands-on accounting leadership and help drive accurate, timely financial reporting. This role will own the month-end close, oversee AP/AR, and partner closely with operations and supply chain in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Own and manage the month-end close process Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and financial reporting Provide oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable Partner closely with operations and supply chain to support financial performance Work cross-functionally on shipping, inventory, costing, and quoting Oversee inventory accounting, including cost accuracy and reconciliation Analyze financial results and provide insight into variances and operational trends Develop and maintain accounting reports and financial analysis using ERP data Ensure accounting processes and internal controls are accurate, efficient, and consistently followed Support budgeting, forecasting, and other financial analysis as needed Assist with external audit requests and provide supporting documentation Identify opportunities to formalize and improve accounting processes and procedures Qualifications Must have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or equivalent senior accounting role Advanced Excel skills Hands-on ERP experience, including month-end processing and building reports Inventory and cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Plus:
