Job Description
Overview We are seeking a Controller / Finance Professional seeking long term fit in a collegeal team environment? Professional should have a good operations acumen who can oversee multiple manufacturing locations (small niche business), direct staff and has a good understanding of accounting, tax and finance practices, with a providing a blend of financial, tax and accounting to assist growing and mid-sized private companies in the Michigan and midwest market. This role is a key addition to a strong team. We can use your help in helping service our growing client base. We see a wide range of accounting software through QB seems to be the most relevant. We use Intuit Lacerte software to prepare personal and corporate tax returns. Duties
- Prepare and analyze accounting, fianancial and operational document and provide financial guidance to growing clients.
- Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Oversee some cash flow, client compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives.
- Stay updated on improvement and changes in financial regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is plus but not a requirement.
- Proven experience as an accountant, with a strong understanding of financial services and accounting principles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- High level of financial acumen and attention to detail.
- Epicor of similar software and processes is a plus.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$115,000.00- $140,000.
