Job Description

About the Assistant Controller position We are looking for a skilled Assistant Controller who will prepare statements on our regulatory and accounting guidelines, reporting a Financial Controller. You will also for identify and prevent inconsistencies and help setting up control systems. You will have to contribute to keeping company's accounting and financial processes up to standard and ensuring accurate financial reporting and control. We expect you to have good knowledge of accounting principles and be able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively. You also should be reliable, organized and have keen attention for detail.
Assistant Controller responsibilities are:
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the costing system (including the bills of material and routings) Analyze and report on production and purchase price variances impacting the plant Maintain and the update labor and overhead rates Cost all new parts (raw and finished goods) when they are added to the ERP system Co-lead the semi-annual physical inventory in junction with the operations team. Calculate inventory reserves for excess and obsolete inventory Reconcile inventory and reserves accounts and prepare journal entries as needed Participate in month-end close process Preform ad hoc analysis and other duties as assigned by management Adheres to all safety rules Follow

Procedures and Work Instructions Assistant Controller requirements are: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance Three to five years' experience in cost accounting Must possess strong organizational skills Ability to work strong organizational skills Ability to work independently Must have strong attention to detail Prefer automotive industry experience Strong preference to individuals that have costing experience using QAD
