POSITION SUMMARY
Lead King's Transportation business by owning the vision, strategy, product portfolio, and operating model for all transportation services. Design, procure, plan, and optimize an integrated transportation network that combines brokerage, carrier procurement, intelligent load planning, and technology into a unified competitive advantage. Champion a data-driven culture that uses analytics, automation, and product management principles to continuously improve profitability, service performance, customer outcomes, and operational scalability while developing transportation capabilities that differentiate King in the marketplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Strategy & Growth Develop and execute the long-term strategy for King's Transportation business. Own transportation revenue, profitability, and operating performance. Identify new market opportunities and transportation service offerings that drive growth. Build a scalable organization capable of supporting future expansion. Product Ownership Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for King's transportation products and services. Define customer outcomes, service standards, and product positioning. Continuously evaluate market trends, customer feedback, and competitive offerings to evolve transportation capabilities. Partner with Product & Innovation to prioritize technology investments that enhance customer value and operational performance. Transportation Operations Provide executive leadership for: Brokerage Carrier Procurement Load Planning Network Optimization Ensure transportation operations consistently deliver high service levels while optimizing cost, capacity, and asset utilization. Data & Technology Establish a data-driven operating model that enables proactive decision-making. Define transportation performance metrics and dashboards. Leverage automation, analytics, AI, and technology to improve efficiency and scalability. Champion continuous improvement through technology-enabled workflows and management by exception. Leadership Build and develop a high-performing transportation leadership team. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer focus. Collaborate across Sales, Operations, Customer Success, Finance, and Technology to align transportation strategy with enterprise objectives. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
BS Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration 10+ year minimum solid leadership experience 10+ years minimum logistics, supply chain, transportation experienced required Product Management experience required Solid communication skills; strong ability to develop relationships; ability to work across the organization Solid computer skills Solid demonstration to solve complex issues
