Full Job Description Position Title :
Controller Position Reports to:Owners General Purpose:
This position is primarily responsible to drive the company's financial planning, prepare current and forecasting financial reports and supervise all office personnel.Essential Duties:
- Maintaining accounting records, including general ledger, payroll and taxes
- Reconciling accounts
- Coordinating all audit activities.
- Managing budgets
- Recommending financial performance benchmarks
- Communicating regularly with (and often reporting to) the Owners
- Overseeing accounts payable and receivable departments
- Ensuring income tax compliance
- Participate in key decisions as a member of the management team.
- Maintain relationships with all members of the management team.
- Manage the office.
- Oversee the company's transaction processing systems.
- Oversee employee benefit plans, with emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package.
- Report financial results to the management team.
- Monitor all open legal issues involving the company and affective the industry.
- Construct and monitor reliable control systems.
- Maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
- Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
- Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts.
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards and regulatory requirements.
- Preparing financial forecasting reports and financial statements (internal and external)
Payroll Compliance and Reports Other Duties:
- Attend and contribute to management and monthly meetings.
- Train and assist other staff members as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to strategize and solve problems
- Experience with accounting software systems
- CPA is a strong advantage
- BS in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- 5 years minimum experience
