full-time ontroller - Manufacturing Growing manufacturing firm is seeking an experienced Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting while providing strong oversight of manufacturing cost accounting and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Lead month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management. Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costs, variances, inventory, and gross-margin analysis. Manage work-in-progress (WIP) accounting and percentage-of-completion / percent-to-complete calculations for active projects. Partner with operations and project teams to ensure accurate job costing, labor/material tracking, project profitability, and revenue recognition. Establish and improve financial controls, reporting processes, and accounting procedures. Provide management with analysis and insight into production costs, project performance, margins, and business trends. Lead and develop the accounting team while working closely with senior leadership. Qualifications 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller or senior accounting leadership experience. Manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Strong background in cost accounting, WIP, job costing, and percentage-of-completion accounting . Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills. CPA or public accounting experience is a plus. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Work Arrangement:
Fully onsite in the western suburbs.
