About Us:
Bernick's is a 5th generation family-owned provider of beverages, vending and food solutions, representing leading brands such as Pepsi, Dr Pepper, Miller Brewing Company and New England Coffee. We service locations in greater MN and western WI.
Job Summary:
This executive role is responsible for overall leadership, performance, and strategic direction of vending operations, with full accountability for revenue growth, customer experience, and operational excellence. The VP of Vending will work cross-functionally with Sales, Warehouse, and Distribution teams to align strategy with execution, drive profitability, and deliver exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive vending strategy integrating sales, operations, and service deliveryEstablish annual business and operating plans aligned with organizational goalsPartner with executive leadership (Finance, HR, Safety, Marketing) to ensure alignmentBuild and develop a high-performing leadership team and succession pipeline Sales & Growth Drive customer acquisition, retention, and contract growth strategiesOversee the full sales process, including pipeline management and forecastingSet pricing strategies, contract terms, and promotional programsDevelop regional growth strategies informed by market and customer insightsManage key customer relationships and lead high-impact sales opportunities Operations & Performance Provide executive oversight of vending service execution in partnership with Warehouse and Distribution teamsUse data, KPIs, and analytics to improve service levels, reduce waste, and control costsDrive process improvements, automation, and technology adoptionEnsure operational efficiency, safety compliance, and asset stewardship Financial & Organizational Leadership Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of the vending businessEstablish incentive and compensation programs aligned to performance goalsOversee hiring, onboarding, training, and development across teamsEnsure accountability, performance management, and team engagement
