Assistant Controller

Midwest Metal Products, Inc. is a foundry located in Winona MN and we are looking for a skilled accounting professional to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, payments, and payroll functions as well as other general administrative and client services duties. This is a full-time position with a starting pay range of $63,000-68,000 annually. Responsibilities Process accounts receivable/payable Entering approved invoices and expenses Correspond with vendors to correct invoices Issue purchase orders; foundry material purchasing Perform invoice reconciliations with month end statements Verify that transactions are recorded in the appropriate ledgers and accounting period Enter payroll data, and maintain records Comply with state and federal payroll tax reporting requirements Communicating professionally and effectively with vendors, clients, and employees General office duties: filing, scanning, copying, faxing, etc. Other accounting and administrative duties as assigned Skills/Qualifications AAS in Accounting minimum. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting; payable/receivable principles Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs Intermediate level experience with Excel Strong organizational skills Ability to multi-task, manage interruptions, and establish work priorities Interested and qualified applicants should submit resume and references to
