No relocation package Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Director, Finance Business Partner

•Technology Infrastructure to serve as a strategic finance partner to senior technology leadership. This is a highly visible, hands-on finance leadership position supporting a large and complex technology organization. The Director will provide financial leadership across budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, strategic investments, portfolio management, business cases, contract and deal evaluation, financial performance, and process improvement. The successful candidate must bring a strong background in technology finance , significant hands-on FP&A experience , and experience owning or supporting a large financial portfolio . This is not a role for someone who has moved completely away from the details of FP&A. The Director must be comfortable operating strategically with executives while remaining hands-on with financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and business-partnering activities. The role reports to the VP, Finance Business Partner and also includes responsibility for managing and developing finance professionals. Key Responsibilities Lead financial planning and reporting activities for a designated area within a large technology organization.

Own and support:

Annual budgeting Forecasting Long-range planning Strategic planning Target setting Financial reporting Management reporting Provide senior technology leaders with meaningful financial insights that support business decisions and improve financial performance. Perform detailed financial analysis and translate complex financial information into clear recommendations for executive leadership. Identify and recommend meaningful financial and operational metrics to measure performance and business success. Partner across technology, finance, sourcing, business units, regional teams, and corporate functions. Develop, analyze, and validate new business and investment opportunities. Serve as a trusted financial advisor to senior business and technology leaders. Conduct detailed variance analysis and effectively communicate the drivers behind financial performance. Identify risks, opportunities, trends, and financial implications affecting business performance. Support and execute large and complex agreements using strong financial and commercial judgment. Evaluate ongoing deals, contracts, business cases, and other strategic opportunities. Provide financial counsel and analysis related to business agreements and investment decisions. Support contract management, deal management, pricing, and product-management activities from a finance perspective. Apply Technology Business Management (TBM) principles to technology-cost allocation and product P&L management. Partner with sourcing and other cross-functional teams to identify efficiencies and ensure financial performance aligns with established targets. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting. Develop strategies and procedures for process-improvement initiatives and lead implementation. Support compliance with Enterprise Risk Management and internal-control requirements. Participate in control testing when required. Complete ad hoc financial analyses, strategic projects, and new business cases. People Leadership This position has direct people-management responsibilities.

Lead effectively across diverse and multifunctional teams. Candidates should have proven experience managing and developing employees , not simply project or dotted-line leadership. Required ExperienceTechnology Finance Candidates must have strong experience serving as a Finance Business Partner within a technology organization or supporting significant technology/infrastructure functions . The individual should understand how finance supports large technology investments, infrastructure, operating expenses, business cases, and technology portfolios. Hands-On FP&A Strong, current, hands-on FP&A capability is required. Candidates should have substantive experience with: Budgeting Forecasting Annual operating plans Long-range planning Financial modeling Variance analysis Management reporting Strategic planning Financial performance analysis Business cases Executive financial presentations Candidates who have moved completely away from hands-on FP&A work may not be appropriate for this position. Large Portfolio Ownership Candidates must have experience owning or providing financial leadership for a large and complex financial portfolio .

Systems & Technical Skills Candidates should have advanced working knowledge of: Microsoft Excel Oracle Hyperion Experience with the following is preferred: Apptio Technology Business Management / TBM Agile IT methodologies Accounting & Controls Candidates should possess a solid working knowledge of: General accounting principles Internal controls Risk management Financial governance Control environments Executive Communication Strong executive presence and communication skills are important for this position.

Personally understanding and working through budgets, forecasts, variances, financial models, business cases, reporting, and detailed FP&A analysis.

What is the largest financial or technology portfolio you have personally owned or supported? Describe your experience financially supporting technology infrastructure, IT, engineering, technology operations, or another large technology organization. What types of technology investments, operating expenses, capital expenditures, products, or infrastructure did you support? Provide an example of a significant financial recommendation you made to a senior technology or business executive. What analysis did you perform, what risk or opportunity did you identify, what recommendation did you make, and what was the business outcome? Describe your direct employee-management experience. Describe your level of hands-on experience with Excel, Oracle, and Hyperion. For each system, explain how you have used it within budgeting, forecasting, reporting, financial analysis, or planning. Please also identify any experience you have with Apptio or Technology Business Management tools. Describe a complex cross-functional or matrixed organization in which you have worked. This position requires working onsite in O'Fallon, Missouri at least four days per week.
