Job Description:

A great UHY client is seeking a Controller to support accounting and financial operations for a diverse portfolio of entrepreneurial businesses during a temporary leave coverage assignment. This role will oversee full-cycle accounting, cash management, bookkeeping operations, and financial oversight across several operating entities within a fast-paced and highly hands-on environment. The Controller role is a fully onsite contract opportunity based in the St. Louis, MO area and is expected to last approximately 6-8 months. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with ownership while supporting multiple businesses across service, hospitality, seasonal operations, and real estate environments. Controller Responsibilities Oversee accounting and financial operations across multiple business entities Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and independent contractor processing Perform hands-on bookkeeping and accounting oversight Manage cash flow and cash management activities across all entities Coordinate tax-related accounting support and financial documentation Supervise and review accounting activities performed by other team members Support seasonal and operational accounting activities within multiple industries Utilize QuickBooks and other systems to support accounting and operational needs Controller Requirements Strong full-cycle accounting and controllership experience required Experience working within small businesses or multi-entity environments preferred Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on within daily accounting operations Strong multitasking and organizational abilities QuickBooks Online experience preferred Experience within service-oriented, hospitality, seasonal, or entrepreneurial business environments preferred Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to thrive within fast-paced and constantly evolving environments UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group provides clients with accomplished professionals to support finance, accounting, internal audit and tax teams.
