Analyze and validate financial transactions affecting P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting, ensuring proper classification, period recognition, and disclosure using COSO Internal Control Framework, and SOX 404 concepts in compliance with GAAP and FASB. Evaluate contracts, identify performance obligations, allocate transaction prices, and validate revenue recognition timing, including cut-off and non-standard contractual terms using ASC 606. Evaluate lease agreements, calculate right-of-use assets and lease liabilities, and validate recognition, amortization, and disclosure in accordance with GAAP and applying ASC 842. Evaluate budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation methodologies, analyze variances, and validate accuracy, authorization controls, and supporting documentation using GAAP and ASC 720. Apply cost accounting principles to evaluate allocation methods, analyze cost variances, and assess compliance with internal controls and COSO standards. Document, evaluate, and test internal controls over financial reporting across Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Payroll, and Record-to-Report cycles using SOX 404 and COSO Internal Control Framework. Apply audit and internal control standards to prepare workpapers, support walkthroughs and testing, and validate remediation of audit findings in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements. Conduct financial and operational risk assessments, evaluate remediation actions to mitigate reporting and compliance risks and apply accounting standards and internal control principles to provide technical guidance on GAAP and compliance requirements. Apply GAAP and relevant FASB guidance (ASC 250, 305, 360, 450) to validate account reconciliations, journal entries, and close activities, ensuring proper cut-off and documentation. Apply GAAP and internal control standards to document accounting policies, procedures, workflows, and control activities supporting consistent financial reporting. Apply COSO fraud risk principles to evaluate segregation of duties, approval controls, transaction monitoring, and third-party onboarding documentation. Apply GAAP, SOX, and COSO principles to evaluate automated controls and system enhancements during ERP and process automation initiatives and utilize ERP, financial reporting, and audit systems (including Oracle, SAP, GP, Iscala, Concur, AuditBoard, Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, and advanced Excel) for analysis, reporting, and control documentation. Develop structured and systematic training programs to enhance the control environment and culture within the organization. Prepare technical accounting memoranda and compliance documentation to clearly communicate and present complex accounting matters, internal control issues, audit findings, and remediation plans to management and non-technical stakeholders. Resolve complex accounting and compliance matters and establish internal control standards in accordance withU.S. GAAP, FASB.
