We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee the organization's accounting operations and provide strong guidance to a growing finance team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who combines deep technical knowledge with a genuine commitment to coaching, developing, and elevating staff performance. The successful candidate will help ensure accurate financial results, strengthen reporting processes, and create a disciplined, collaborative accounting environment.

Responsibilities:

• Direct daily accounting activities while providing leadership, coaching, and ongoing development to members of the accounting team.
• Manage the month-end and quarter-end close processes to ensure timely completion and reliable financial results.
• Review general ledger activity for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports that support business decisions and clearly communicate performance trends.
• Oversee bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly to maintain accurate cash records.
• Establish and improve accounting procedures, controls, and workflows to enhance efficiency and reporting quality.
• Mentor team members by setting expectations, offering technical guidance, and supporting professional growth.
• Partner with leadership to monitor financial performance and address accounting issues in a proactive manner.
