Job Description

Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience We are seeking a hands-on Controller to join our growing real estate construction and property management company. The ideal candidate is a high-energy, detail-oriented professional with extensive experience managing the financial operations of businesses involved in residential property rehab, construction, and rental management. Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting and financial functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and job costing.
  • Maintain and reconcile multiple project and property accounts in QuickBooks Online.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, and cash flow projections.
  • Track renovation and rehab costs, ensuring accuracy and profitability analysis for each project.
  • Coordinate with lenders, investors, and vendors to manage draws, payments, and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
  • Support ownership with strategic financial insights to guide investment and growth decisions. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online — including class tracking, project/job costing, and multi-entity management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate construction or property management accounting.
  • Strong understanding of rehab and renovation accounting (materials, subcontractors, permits, timelines).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
