We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to oversee the company's financial operations and support strategic business growth. Position Summary The Controller will be responsible for managing all accounting and financial activities for ABC Boat Docks, LLC. This leadership position will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, internal controls, payroll, tax compliance, and financial planning. The ideal candidate will be a proactive professional who can provide accurate financial information and strategic recommendations to company leadership. Key Responsibilities Direct and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, job costing, and general ledger activities. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Monitor cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital requirements. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Coordinate annual tax preparation and work closely with external CPA firms and auditors. Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets. Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency. Manage fixed assets, inventory accounting, and project/job cost tracking. Prepare management reports and key financial metrics for ownership. Oversee payroll processing and employee benefit accounting. Support strategic planning, business growth initiatives, and capital investment decisions. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Experience managing budgets, cash flow, and tax compliance. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Preferred CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification. Experience in construction, manufacturing, or project-based businesses. Familiarity with job costing and inventory management. Experience with ERP or advanced accounting systems.
