The Role We're seeking an experienced, strategic Financial Controller to lead and evolve our accounting function during a period of rapid expansion. You'll own our financial engine, reporting, controls, forecasting, and insights.
Your mission:
turn data into decisions, numbers into narratives, and complexity into clarity. You'll work directly with senior leadership to ensure every dollar drives the mission forward. Your Mission Lead Financial Operations
  • Oversee all accounting functions (GL, AP/AR, payroll, month-end close) with full GAAP compliance. Architect Financial Systems
  • Build processes and controls that scale efficiently as we move from cash to accrual accounting. Deliver Financial Clarity
  • Produce accurate, actionable reports that inform decision-making across leadership and operations. Ensure Accuracy & Compliance
  • Maintain integrity through reconciliations, audits, and regulatory standards. Drive Process Improvement
  • Identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and implement automation to enhance efficiency.
What Success Looks Like Financial reports are accurate, timely, and actionable , enabling confident decision-making. The company's transition to accrual accounting is smooth, transparent, and scalable. Systems and controls support a $100 M operation without chaos or rework. Leadership has clear visibility into contract profitability, cash flow, and growth opportunities. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). 5+ years in an accounting leadership role, ideally in logistics, multi-entity, or high-growth operations. Proven success leading month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and audits. Experience implementing or upgrading ERP/accounting systems (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or NetSuite). Strong command of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and ability to simplify the complex.
