About the Role Whitsons Culinary Group is seeking a Vice President of Operational Support based in Philadelphia to lead regional operations and drive operational excellence. This role is responsible for financial performance, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction while building and leading high-performing teams. The VP of Operational Support will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to support strategic growth, operational improvements, and exceptional service delivery. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Lead regional operations aligned with company strategy and goals Drive operational performance, compliance, and service quality across accounts Evaluate and improve operational systems, processes, and execution Strategic Planning & Growth Partner with senior leadership to support regional growth and operational planning Support sales efforts including client presentations, bid tours, and operational planning Lead successful transitions for new accounts People Leadership Build and develop high-performing District and General Managers Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and leadership development Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Client & Field Operations Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high satisfaction Conduct regular site visits to drive quality and performance improvements Ensure consistent execution of merchandising, marketing, menu standards, and compliance Financial Management Own regional P&L performance and budgeting Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency Support safety initiatives and asset management strategies
Qualifications:
Education Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred). Experience & Skills 10+ years of progressive food service management experience 7+ years leading high-volume K-12 school nutrition programs Strong operational, financial, and leadership experience in multi-site environments Culinary background with strong knowledge of food quality and execution Experience managing large teams and complex operations Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills ServSafe Certification required Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Salary Target:
Starting at $180,000 annually
