Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Interim Controller to lead our financial operations during a transitional period. Key Responsibilities Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and financial reporting. Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, financial statements, and management reporting. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. Review financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance analyses while identifying trends, risks, and areas requiring attention. Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance procedures. Oversee fixed asset accounting, capitalization, depreciation, and related reporting. Manage audit activities and serve as a key liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and other outside partners. Ensure compliance with applicable financial, tax, regulatory, and corporate reporting requirements. Analyze cash flow, working capital, financial performance, and key business metrics. Provide leadership, coaching, and day-to-day direction to the accounting team. Evaluate departmental workflow and appropriately prioritize and allocate responsibilities. Identify and implement accounting process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements. Support the effective use of ERP and financial systems while maintaining strong data integrity. Provide oversight of payroll accounting and related internal controls. Partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership, providing financial insights and support for key business decisions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA strongly preferred; CMA, CGMA, CIA, or similar certification is a plus. 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience. 4+ years of experience as a Corporate Controller, Assistant Controller, or comparable senior accounting leader. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, internal controls, compliance, and audit processes. Demonstrated experience leading and developing accounting teams. Experience working with enterprise ERP systems; NetSuite experience is highly preferred. Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to quickly assess an accounting function, prioritize critical needs, and operate effectively in an interim capacity. Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with executives and cross-functional leaders. Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. Experience within a manufacturing, production, or similarly operational environment is a plus.
