Are you looking for a new opportunity? Daida is seeking a Controller to join our Finance team! About Daida Daida is a growing business process services and technology company serving government, healthcare, education, and enterprise clients nationwide. The company is growing both organically and through acquisitions and is building its finance and accounting operations to support that growth. About the Role Daida is looking for an experienced Controller to take ownership of the company's accounting function. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will oversee the monthly close, general ledger, financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting processes across multiple entities. This is a hands-on role with significant exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to take on additional responsibilities as the company grows. Key Responsibilities Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close. Oversee the general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules. Manage accounting for multiple entities and prepare consolidated financial statements. Lead accounting and finance activities related to acquisitions and integration. Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Research and document technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, leases, and business combinations. Improve and automate accounting and reporting processes. Prepare financial analyses and reports for the CFO, Board, lenders, and investors. Support debt covenant reporting and other financial requirements. Manage external audits, tax filings, and other compliance activities. Identify accounting risks and recommend solutions. Use AI, automation, and technology to improve accounting efficiency and accuracy. Partner with the CFO on special projects and other finance initiatives. Qualifications 4+ years of progressive accounting experience. Public accounting experience is preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA license or progress toward CPA certification. Experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidations. Must have extensive experience with Sage Intacct preferred. Strong Excel and accounting systems skills. Experience with process improvement, automation, and financial reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, take ownership, and recommend improvements. Interest in using AI and technology to modernize accounting processes. Ability to reliably commute to the Clinton, NJ office.
Pay:
$115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
