CONTROLLER

Do you have what it takes to shape the future of the amusement park industry? We are looking for a hands-on Controller with experience in all areas of corporate finance. The Controller will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the accounting and finance reporting function, preparation of budgets and forecasts, preparing monthly budget variance reports and quarterly and annual financial statements. The Controller will develop accounting processes to strengthen the accuracy and timeliness of reporting financial results and provide information to the executive team in a manner that will assist in the operational decision-making process and enable the achievement of strategic company goals. The Controller will report to the Director of Finance and Administration. This hands-on position will direct the Accounting Team based in Boonton, NJ in performing all finance activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, general ledger, and financial reporting. Travel to Luna Park in Coney Island will be required for purposes of obtaining information for preparing budgets, performing internal audits, and to present and evaluate financial results with management and the executive team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee day-to-day management of all the accounting functions of the accounting team Month-end and year-end close process management Asset tracking and depreciation schedules, lease accounting compliance Coaching and developing accounting team members Prepare and maintain budgets and forecasts Prepare and deliver monthly full financials timely Implement and develop SOPs while ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and industry standards Develop, document and enforce internal control procedures and processes Implement cost and expense control procedures Implement inventory control procedures and develop and monitor audit processes Establish procurement and purchasing control procedures Develop, document and maintain system data integrity procedures Perform internal audits across all departments Prepare monthly budget variance reports Provide information to the management team in a manner that will assist in the operational decision-making process and enable the achievement of strategic company goals Prepare and file all required reports to the appropriate agencies Maintain current professional knowledge through conferences and continuing education Perform additional duties as needed to support the company evolving priorities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Enthusiasm, energy, and integrity Teamwork, continuous improvement, and process-based culture Minimum 5 years of experience in Senior Accounting Position Bachelor of Science in Accounting required 3+ years of Amusement Park, Entertainment or Hospitality experience with inventory and POS/Cash receipts. 3+ years of experience with Sage 100 Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Understanding of data analysis and forecasting Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel Proven experience in ERP, accounting and asset management software Proven experience in managing, leading and supporting an Accounting Team Travel to operations locations will be required for purposes of obtaining information for preparing budgets, and to present and evaluate financial results with management and the executive team
