This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing Accounts Payable, general ledger integrity, cash management, and financial reporting for a growing multi-warehouse distribution company. If you're a detail-driven accounting professional with strong GAAP knowledge, ERP experience, and a background in wholesale distribution, manufacturing, or inventory-intensive industries, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; prepare accurate financial statements Ensure general ledger integrity, timely account reconciliations, and accurate transaction recording Maintain chart of accounts, accounting policies, and supporting documentation Oversee accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and related functions Analyze financial results and report trends, risks, and variances to the VP of Finance Accounts Payable Leadership Directly manage the AP department: supervise, train, and develop staff Ensure accurate invoice processing, approvals, and on-time vendor payments Oversee vendor discounts, credits, rebates, and allowances Maintain strong controls over vendor setup, ACH/wire payments, and payment authorization Inventory & Distribution Accounting Oversee inventory valuation, reserves, adjustments, and cycle-count controls Manage accounting for freight, vendor/customer programs, rebates, and accruals Partner cross-functionally with Purchasing, Warehousing, and Sales Cash Management, Budgeting & Analysis Manage daily cash positioning, bank reconciliations, and cash-flow forecasting Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and covenant/borrowing-base calculations Support financial analysis on capital investments, pricing, and contracts Audit, Tax & Compliance Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and compliance deadlines Support lender, insurance, and benefit-plan audits as needed What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience Experience supervising accounting staff or an Accounts Payable function Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, budgeting, and cash management Advanced Excel skills and experience with an ERP/integrated accounting system Wholesale distribution, manufacturing, or inventory-intensive industry experience strongly preferred Prior title as Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, or Controller preferred CPA or CMA a plus, not required Why Arett?
