Develop financial forecasts and monitor company-wide financial performance. Manage project budgets, timelines, and long-term financial projections for development projects. Allocate budgets across real estate functions including research, appraisal, development, marketing, and sales. Establish and maintain internal financial controls, accounting procedures, and audit systems. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and reporting requirements. Support audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors and accounting firms. Support Controller with traditional accounting functions, including oversight of general ledger integrity, month-end and year-end close processes, account reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of consolidated financial statements across multiple real estate entities and affiliated construction companies. Perform detailed monthly and quarterly review and analysis of property-level financials, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods, cash flow tracking, and operating performance metrics. Prepare and post complex journal entries related to revenue recognition, intercompany allocations, depreciation, lease accounting and capital expenditures. Oversee and review monthly bank reconciliations across numerous operating, escrow, and construction accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies. Evaluate project feasibility, return projections, and risk exposure. Support financing activities including lender reporting and capital planning. Monitor project cash flow, capital deployment, and overall investment performance. Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders to support audits, tax filings, and compliance with evolving real estate tax laws and regulations.
