Position:
Senior Bookkeeper /
Assistant Controller Location:
Proximity to
Hicksville, NY Company/Industry:
Well-established facility services and building maintenance company
Schedule:
Mon-Fri 100% in-office 9am-5pm
Salary:
$100,000 - $120,000 base salary (Open to up to $150,000+ for senior/Controller-level talent) depending on experience, flexibility for the right candidate, benefits offered
Type:
Direct Hire Position Summary:
Oversee day-to-day accounting functions. Requires 5-10 years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience, including high-volume billing, A/P, A/R, cash flow management, bank reconciliations, and NY/NJ sales tax filings.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Billing:
Manage A/P, A/R, and high-volume client invoicing.
Financial Management:
Handle daily bank reconciliations, cash flow, and revenue tracking.
Tax & Audits:
Manage NY/NJ sales tax compliance, payroll support, and insurance audits.
Closing & Reporting:
Coordinate month/year-end closing, prepare financial statements, and assist with budgets and variances.
CPA Coordination:
Work with outside CPAs for annual reviews, compilations, and tax filings.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
5-10 years in accounting/bookkeeping; service industry background (Facility Services, Real Estate, Construction, HVAC) preferred.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (Enterprise & Online) and Excel.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred (or equivalent experience).
Compensation / Pay
Rate (Up to): $100,000.00 - $150,000.00
