Job Description:
Reporting to VP/Director of Athletics, Associate Athletic Director / Finance is responsible for all of the department's financial and business operations. This position leads the department in the stewardship of resources to include forecasting, monitoring and reporting of budgets and strategic allocation of resources. The Associate AD oversees the day-to-day function of the business operations and aspects of athletics financial compliance. As a member of the department's senior leadership team, the Associate AD provides input into department-wide strategy.
Main Responsibilities:
Lead the department's strategic planning around Athletics operating budget, including revenue forecasting and resource allocation and revenue generation. Responsible for resource allocation and stewardship of the department funds. Manage endowed funds, donations and
NCAA/MAAC
revenue distribution. Negotiate and manage vendor contracts (e.g. apparel, multimedia rights) Oversee of business operations, team operation and provide support for compliance. Collaborate with the Finance Office on budget preparation and completion of required NCAA, MAAC and institutional reporting. Collaborate with Human Resources on hiring and other employment-related processes for Athletics. Supervise the assistant director/business operations and head coaches for assigned sports.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree At least one to three years of relevant experience in finance, accounting and /or business operations Professional experience developing, forecasting, and implementing budgets. Proficiency with Google Suite and / or MS Office products Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders Candidates must possess a valid NYS driver's license and insurability at the time of appointment and throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field. Experience working in an higher education Athletics department Familiarity with Athletics' business operations Knowledge of NCAA rules and reporting requirements Experience working with Ellucian Banner or another ERP system

Pay Rate:
$78,700 The hiring pay rate above represents the University's good faith estimate at the time of posting in compliance with the Albany County Salary Transparency Law. Siena University offers a generous benefit package to eligible full-time employees.
