$115,000+ per year Competitive benefits package and career growth opportunities available Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Plant Controller to lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and financial analysis for our manufacturing and distribution facility in Utica, NY. Reporting to the Plant Director, this role will partner with Operations and Finance leadership to drive profitability, cost control, inventory accuracy, capital planning, and business performance. Key Responsibilities Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. Analyze labor, overhead, inventory, productivity, scrap, and other manufacturing cost drivers. Prepare financial forecasts, variance analyses, and management reports. Support capital projects, business cases, and ROI analysis. Maintain financial controls, inventory valuation, and standard costing processes. Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams to identify cost savings and performance improvement opportunities. Provide financial insight to support business decisions and operational growth.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, plant controlling, or FP&A. Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
Preferred:
CPA, CMA, MBA, or similar certification. Experience with ERP systems, standard costing, and inventory management. Skills Manufacturing finance and cost accounting expertise. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to communicate financial information to operational leaders. Experience driving cost control and business performance improvements. #IND1
