Job Description
Job Overview We are currently looking to hire an Assistant Controller for our location in Nassau County, NY. If you have the qualifications and experience required for this position, please apply and our HR Director will be in contact with you. In summary, the Assistant Controller provides technical, supervisory and administrative support to the finance department. Responsibilities of the Assistant Controller job may include but are not limited to: Assists the Controller in his or her everyday activities. Process bank reconciliations on a monthly basis Process monthly custodian statements Produces monthly financial statements Works closely with field directors to minimize delinquencies and discrepancies Serves as back up to accounts receivable representative with respect to deposits Works on various projects assigned by the Controller Works with senior management level staff on various projects Participates in year-end financial functions as assigned. Obtains working knowledge of the accounts receivable function in order to supervise accounts receivable staff for accuracy, efficiency, training, problem solving, etc. Oversees, manages, directs, and develops the accounts receivable group with billing, reconciling and posting issues and solves system issues with Business Central, Solver, in mulitple software systems. Serves as a backup for payroll processing. Analyzes cash activities and processes annual filling with
DOL SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This job supervises the accounts receivable staff both in conjunction with, and in the absence, of the Controller; supervises other finance staff in the absence of or by delegation from the Controller. Qualifications College degree in related field and at least three years' related experience and/or training including supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
