- Full-time Position Overview Jewish National Fund-USA seeks to hire an experienced Assistant Controller to join the Finance Department.

Full-Time Responsibilities Assist in overseeing accounting operations, including investments, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and financial reporting. Manage day-to-day accounting functions and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses Perform monthly and annual reconciliations between internal records and third-party statements Monitor cash activity, and financial transactions to ensure timely and accurate recording. Assist in the development, monitoring, and forecasting of the organization's annual operating budget Monitor actual results against budget and analyze variances Prepare and review monthly financial reports and other financial analyses Coordinate and support annual financial statement audits and other external audit requests. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies Develop, maintain, and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures Partner with internal departments to support financial reporting and operational objectives Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy Serve as a resource for finance-related questions and provide cross-functional support as needed Qualifications 5+ years of progressive Accounting or Finance experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA preferred but not required Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, investments and reconciliations Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis) Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook Experience with Salesforce and Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT preferred Nonprofit accounting experience is a plusPerks:
