About Congregation Mishkan Or Congregation Mishkan Or is a vibrant Reform Jewish temple in Beachwood, Ohio — "Dwelling Place of Light." With approximately 1,800 households, we are a warm and welcoming community rooted in tradition, connection, and lifelong Jewish learning. We offer a wide range of programming, meaningful worship, educational opportunities, and community engagement, and are deeply connected to one another, to Israel, and to the global Jewish community. Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Financial Operations Manager to support the financial health and integrity of our organization. This individual will play a critical role in providing leadership with reliable, accurate financial information while maintaining strong financial processes in a mission-driven, community-focused environment. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in fund-based accounting, ideally within a nonprofit, religious organization, or similar setting.

Exempt Key Responsibilities Manage all accounts receivable and accounts payable functions with accuracy and timeliness Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial integrity Oversee and actively manage organizational cash flow Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in QuickBooks Online Track, manage, and properly categorize funds, including restricted and special-purpose funds Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for leadership and key stakeholders Support the development and ongoing maintenance of sound internal financial controls Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency Qualifications Required Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online Proven experience with AR/AP, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management Experience with fund-based accounting, including special fund categorization Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience in a nonprofit, religious organization, or similar mission-driven environment Familiarity with internal controls and financial compliance best practices Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
