Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee our organization's financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and maintaining accurate accounting practices. This role requires proficiency in financial management, strong organizational skills, and the ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools effectively. The Controller will play a vital role in safeguarding the company's financial health and supporting strategic decision-making. Responsibilities Maintain and reconcile bank records to ensure accurate financial reporting Oversee payroll taxes, municipal taxes, and other tax-related activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations Manage 401(k) deposits and related retirement plan transactions Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets for management review Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and related documentation Utilize Microsoft Office applications to prepare spreadsheets, reports, and presentations for internal use Collaborate with auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes Qualifications Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate findings effectively Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred Experience with payroll processing and retirement plan deposits is highly desirable Join our team to contribute your expertise in financial management while supporting the growth and stability of our organization.
