Controller

Robert Half is looking for a controller for a growing Cincinnati based company. The controller is responsible for providing leadership, direction and managerial oversight over financial systems and department, to include accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and forecasting, and payroll. This is a hands on position and must be able to move between strategic, tactical and operational levels. Must have previous construction experience. • Manage the full accounting cycle, including hands-on month-end and year-end close
• Prepare and maintain Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and support accurate revenue recognition
• Manage and review job costing, working closely with project managers to track budgets and analyze variances
• Manage the Accounts Receivable, ensuring invoices are accurate, timely, and properly documented, monitoring aging and following up on outstanding invoices
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Payroll with a willingness to step in and assist as needed
• Monitor cash flow and assist with forecasting
• Help ensure timely payments to subcontractors and suppliers in accordance with contract requirements
• Assist with construction-related documentation, including lien waivers, affidavits, and other compliance requirements as needed
• Prepare internal financial reports
• Coordinate with external partners for tax filings, year-end reporting, and audits
